October 10, 2025
Viktoria – Space for Artistic Research and Social Design, Vienna, Austria

Workshop by Peter McCoy within the Wiener Pilzfestspiele, curated by Mycelial Space

As the wave of modern mycology spreads around the world, a rich diversity of human-fungal relationships evolves in the wake. In this workshop, Peter McCoy will guide participants through a series of creative exercises and group discussions to explore how to enrich and expand their personal connection with the science, arts, and life that flows through fungi and take a more active role in the mycoculture of today. Learn skills for inspiring and deepening your journey into the mycelial web as you connect with other fungi-inspired creatives and thinkers. No background knowledge or experience is required to join.

Peter McCoy is a world renowned applied mycology researcher, activist, and educator with over 20 years of experience. He is the founder of the international grassroots movemment Radical Mycology, a co-founder of the Fungi Film Festival, and the founder of MYCOLOGOS, an applied mycology school and experimental fungi farm based in Portland, Oregon. Alongside his work with fungi, Peter can be often found making art or music or wandering the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
