Jonas Studer, as an artist, researcher, and educator, intertwines the fascinating world of fungi with art and science. His work is inspired by Éduard Glissant's Tout-Monde concept, which defines human identity through diversity. Studer explores fungi as living countermodels to traditional concepts, conducting aesthetic research at the intersection of nature and technology, such as Myceliography, which unveils new perspectives. As an educator, he shares his knowledge of artistic thinking and practices, fostering collaboration between art, science, and society. Through his work, Jonas creates a multifaceted reality, underscoring the significance of fungi for our future and the preservation of biodiversity.
In addition to his role as an artist, Jonas works as a lecturer at FHNW, teaching Didactics in Art & Design for Secondary Level I and II. He also serves as the Chief Education Officer (CEO) at eduLAB Thun, an innovation workshop for project based learning.
