MSc
Wailea Zülch
Cofounder & Curator
MushRoom
Zurich, Switzerland
Wailea Zülch works in the field of futures studies and as a curator, with an interdisciplinary academic background in the social sciences and humanities, and an MSc in Political Science. The red thread running through her kaleidoscopic work is relationality—most vividly expressed in her heart project, MushRoom, an art space that appears in many forms and places. It explores curating as a practice of connection, while engaging with different ways of expanding consciousness, with fungi as a valued companion, sometimes also very explicitly in the focus. Her fascination with perceptions of time and (un)certainty guides her work in futures studies, where she also occasionally lectures in France and Switzerland.
It’s in transdisciplinary mush places—rooms of flux and becoming—that she is thriving the most.
